The sustainably built Aquatic Centre presents Fleurieu Peninsula communities with an exciting and modern sport and recreation facility.
This project involved the construction of an environmentally sustainable indoor aquatic centre.
With an 8 lane, 25 metre lap swimming pool, multi-use rehabilitation, leisure and children’s pool and an outdoor ‘splash and play’ park this development sets the standard in community projects.
Designed by leading architect Hames Sharley, the façade of the building is clad in Abodo’s premium architectural Vulcan Cladding in a WB10 profile. WB10 profile creates a vertical shiplap look, with the benefits of invisible fixings.
In keeping with the project's desire for a “sustainable build” Vulcan Cladding is Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified natural wood, sourced from sustainable plantations in nearby New Zealand.
The Vulcan façade is finished in Protector - Graphite, a low maintenance shade of dark grey.
Abodo’s Western Australia distributor Austim supplied the project from Perth. Learn more about the centre here.
