After months in the making, Abodo is proud to introduce an all-new brushed finish for Vulcan timber cladding.
Over many years of exposure to wind and driving rain, softwood timbers are affected by what is known as "grain erosion".
That is, the softer "earlywood" of the wood weathering back while the harder "latewood" of the wood's growth rings stand out. This results in a three dimensional textured surface with unique natural grain variation, and beautiful textured look.
Here at Abodo, we can replicate this natural effect by using a state of the art machine, using a series of abrasive brushes to scour out the softer timber - perfectly mimicking nature's own efforts.
When combined with a pigmented coating, many different visual effects can be achieved.
Abodo Vulcan Vertical Grain and Flatsawn timber complies with EU Fire Regulations with a fire class rating of D - s1 d0.
Glenalmond Timber is a family-run business that has been supplying timber products throughout the UK since 1988.
Abodo are pleased to announce the appointment of Stevens & Co as an architectural cladding distribution partner in Belgium.
