Spreading "carbon and people-positive" cheer
Vote with heart before 5pm, Wednesday 22 December 2021 by telling us which organisation you'd like to support for carbon or people-positive impact this Christmas, and we'll make a donation on your behalf.
Last year we supported the Fred Hollows campaign and our Christmas donation gave the gift of sight to over 100 people. This year, we’ve chosen three organisations that are close to our hearts, doing great work investing in carbon storing trees, rejuvenating nature's biodiversity and supporting mental wellbeing.
Here are the three organisations:
Trees that Count are a conservation charity with the vision of helping to plant millions of native trees across New Zealand and support nature's biodiversity.
Voting for Trees that Count will be donating native tree planting in the Bay of Plenty region where a large percentage of Abodo timber is sourced.
Sustainable Coastlines are known for beach clean-ups but they’re also about restoring waterways by planting trees and educating people so they can look after their own backyards.
A vote for Sustainable Coastlines will be for beautiful beaches, healthy waters and inspired people to keep waters clean around New Zealand.
Mates in Construction provide a holistic approach to suicide prevention and mental wellbeing for construction workers through on-site training and providing those at risk with professional support.
Voting for Mates in Construction will help reduce the stigma of mental health and build resilience in people and the industry.
Please note: voting has now closed.
We wish you a nature-filled, joyous Christmas break, and look forward to working with you again in the New Year.
