Set in the quintessential alpine region of Cardona, the new Abodo showroom will be crafted to the highest standard - featuring the very best of Abodo’s natural wood cladding.
Designed for the challenges of alpine zones, Abodo’s Vulcan range has deliberately low moisture content. Perfect for cold dry conditions in winter, and hot summers.
“At Abodo we wanted to make a statement in the Central Otago region by picking one of the harshest alpine regions and putting highly crafted structure there. The added bonus is that the Cardrona Pub and Distillery are close by!” says Abodo founder, Daniel Gudsell.
The exterior of the building will be clad in 3.5 kilometres of Vulcan Screening, all finished in the low maintenance Sioo:x wood finish - designed to weather to silvery grey.
It is not just the exterior of this project that will feature Abodo products. The interiors all use a full range of Vulcan exposed trusses, panelling and screening.
Abodo Cardrona will be available for meeting and by appointment viewings or the Abodo range. Please get in touch to book a time.
Design for Abodo Cardrona is being completed by Arrowtown locals and award winning architects Assembly Architects.
Scheduled for opening early 2020.
"The first development phase in the Cardrona Valley will be a 102sqm show home, architecturally designed to evoke local farm sheds and huts.
After that will come seven stand-alone chalets of about 150sqm, each with three or four bedrooms.
The chalets will be rented to visitors."
